The port of Rhodes is located to the north of the island and provides connections to the Dodecanese islands, the Cyclades islands, Crete and Piraeus. Mandraki port, is an ancient place of irresistible charm and is where the colossus of Rhodes stood whilst boats arrived 2500 years ago.
There are many services in the surrounding area such as restaurants and taverns and the port provides connections to nearby islands. A little further south is the commercial port, called Emborio. The central port serves national and international boats and is located in the city center.
